What is up with the Happy Horse Retirement Facility?

Postby floweraddict » Thu Nov 19, 2009 5:02 pm

Why do people buy your horses priced at $25,000 and up just to send them to the Happy Horse Retirement facility? I'm kinda irritated with the fact that the horses that I purposefully bred are just being sent away. This horse produced many 29 scored confy horses, but was a 32 scored horse. I sold her as I want to start keeping only 30 scored and belows for breeding. I release all my horses that I breed who are scored over 32, and sell the 31 and 32 scored horses.

Is there anyway of preventing people from buying your horses who are just going to retire them?

Once you put a horse for sale and someone buys it, you have zero control over what happens to the horse. :) If you don't want this to happen, don't put the horse for sale. If you really want to sell off some stock, then sell them privately to people you know won't release them.

A 32 scored confy horse isn't really much use. If I had to guess, they saw low stats and didn't know it was a confy horse, so trialed it and released it.

I would also suggest when selling confy horses on the public market to write their conformation score in the comments box. Most people just see the crappy stats and dont realise it was bred for confy.
