Does Size Matter?

With eventing that is. I read someones thread a while back and they were talking about race horses having to be slim, not slender...

So I was wondering if this is true, and if so is it true with other disciplines?

Build does play a part in many of the events. Height hasn't been looked at quite as much, and if it does play a part, is lesser than build it would appear.

Bronco for example requires a stronger build. Driving would too, but as most Draft breeds already have a Draft build, people don't consciously look for that build :P

you would actually want a very slender track horse, NOT a slim horse (slim is fatter than very slender, lol). I have seen a couple of slim horses win some money in track, but you usually want to run a very slender horse... track was the first event where I became aware of the importance of build, and I experimented out from there. :D

That's what you get for not playing often enough. :giggle: That will teach Chio to run away.
