Breaking a BC?

Postby white_horse_lover » Fri Sep 24, 2010 2:48 pm

I had a few questions regarding breaking a BC.

I know that there are several breeds where people can often times get a stat over BC using Bonuses. I was wondering if this is true for every breed? Or is it only possible with some? Also, what Bonuses do you suggest for this? I know that the parents should obviously be rolled properly, and on a Sponsor. However, I was looking for some tips :D!

It's not considered breaking BC. To break BC, the foals must be born on a ranch without any breeding bonuses.

Any breed can be born with a stat, two or three above BC, just depends on where the stat falls and when the bonus kicks in and for how much.

You'll want better breeder.. (and super studs, if you don't mind getting a lot of studs sometimes) and whatever extra bonuses apply to your breed type and training discipline.

if a horse is really far from the next stat title even at it's highest numbers you don't seem to be able to get one 'over'.... so, for example, a Feral AAA... BC is Am/Am/Am/Am, but they are 'low' amazings, usually 102 or 103.... you don't normally see horses with phenom until at least, what, 108 or 109... the bonuses don't give the horse THAT big a jump.

So from my experience the breeds most likely to be born over BC are ones that are right on the edge anyway... Grade Stock AAAs are Am/Ex/Am/Ex.. now the amazing stat on them is often up around 108... and... most of my Stock AAA foals are born one over or two over BC (Ph/Ex/Ph/Ex).

I could be wrong, but this is how it has appeared to me so far, lol, for whatever that is worth.
