It can take anywhere from a few hours to a week. :) Just be patient! It's whenever Nef has time, and with all the private breeds people are ordering right now, she has a LOT of work to do.

you will know that when your account is upgraded when it says;
Turns Available: infinite
also if you check this page: http://www.virtualhorseranch.com/home.php
it says Account Type: Sponsor Account

It usually takes less than 24 hours for me atleast when i have renewed or upgraded. it has never taken longer for me than 48 hours.
I am no longer able to play the game due to real life commitments. I would like to thank all my friends for the past 11 years on VHR. xx

Level the account (or have someone else do it - I recommend Twisted), then pick bonuses. Then let the account sit for a while so that offline points will accumulate; offline points will enable you to pick your skills. Then start playing around with it! Breed, train, all of that nice stuff.

Level your account and level your skills. If you don't have the patience to wait that long for your offline points then I suggest buying a random horse off the marketplace to train in order to level your training skills (generally Horsemanship, English Training, Sport Training).
First you need to go to the skills page, choose the training type skill you want to level and take lessons in that skill until you can't take anymore. Then, when you train make sure the check box that says something like "Train horse yourself" is checked, then train up the horse. Obstacle will raise Horsemanship (pretty sure), Arena: Dressage will raise English, and Speed laps will raise sport. I suggest a random marketplace horse because you won't be able to effectively statmax until your skills have been leveled. Usually I use offline points to get the last 4 or 5 points since the speed you gain at decreases dramatically towards 100%.

Before you pick your skills you should decide what you want to use the account for. And knowing which breed types you will be working with is good to know before picking bonuses. If you know what breeds types/events you´ll be doing, check around and see what other people have. Or perhaps post and ask what people would suggest. I always find it´s best to have this planned early :)

a fully leveled account is level 50. every five levels you will get a new pick of a bonus. it takes alot of "experience" to level your account. the fastest way is to get yourself four (or more) horses and try to get them in as many events (i use gym) as you can. also creating and running events will help, as will training horses, but these two methods are slower (and training/rolling is alot more work). it took me about a week to fully level my last account using four ponies in as many gym events as i could, thanks to Razi and her ponies and leveling advice. the way i check to see what level i am is to go to http://www.virtualhorseranch.com/home.php and i see this: You Are currently level 50. (101000 experience left until next lvl) :)

You can tell when you are a sponsor when you have

infinite turns
Account Type:Sponsor (management page)
When you can catch 4 or 6 wild horses (Depends on the sponsor)
And when you can see your ranch on the first pages on the community

One of my sponsors took like almost 2 days and it might sometimes take more.

To level your account:I had to train and train until level 50, It took a while but it worked, I also held events, I am not sure if this does anything but I created an auction house and a club.

Level Skills:
Horsemanship, Riding&Training-I used offline points and also bought a horse from the marketplace.
Breeding:I used offline points and I did lots of breeding.
Crafting Vet and Farrier, I just made lots of Items, and for vet and shoes I also put them on horses and at the market.

I hope it helps!
