Pasture change

Okay, the pasture change is new to me. From what I understand, it no longer ages your horse and can be used as a 'freeze' on your horses while you work on whatever is in the stables. My question is do your horses stats decay after it has hit the statcap if it is left in the pasture or is there any negative impact on them to be left in there at all?

Nope, keeping them in the pasture has no negative effects. Leaves them completely untouched as if you never even turned the account. Though, you are still charged money for feed for all horses in the pasture (cheaper of course) every turn you take.
