Do horses do worse in your own events?

I've found that my reining horse places SIGNIFICANTLY lower when he is in events run from the ranch he is on.

Is this normal?

I haven't noticed it with my events as much as with EmpireStables's events, all 30 or so of hers.

Well it used to seem like horses did better in your own events. The horse I'm showing had mostly 1sts and 2nds but it got 6th in all of my events below the exact same group of horses. So...who knows.

Mine seem to do really badly in my own events... I actually kind of fear making my own now unless it is strictly for others to enter. lol.

Well, the past week or so, all of my horses (who used to have modest 15-20% placing in all events) have been doing HORRIBLY in all of my events. In 4 events I ran daily, they would each place 1/2 the time now i am lucky if one of the horses places once.

So i guess i spoke too soon.
