Question about pricing Rolling

Postby Zimmy » Tue Apr 22, 2008 3:10 pm

I have become pretty good at rolling my own horses stats. I understand how to roll and how to change actuals to roll the ones that I want. I would like to start offering this service to the public along with my stat maxing but I do not have a clue how to price it.
Do I charge by the year? By the stats rolled? Do people usually specify which stats they want rolled, or do they want a general raising of all stats? Does the clients wishes for their horse change the pricing?
I am sorry if this sounds silly, but the maxing seemed so strait forward compared to this. I want to offer rolling, but I do not want to charge incorrectly or do something wrong.
If anyone can help me with this (especially people that offer rolling themselves) it would be greatly appreciated.
If you prefer to answer me in PM, feel free. thanks in advance.

Usually people charge for the whole rolling up until roughly 18 for mares and 21 for stallys, although that can vary. Rolling doesnt usually go for more than about 800k maximum (for the whole lot, although foundie rollings sell for more as theyre harder), but some people do prefer to have it done by year. As for what stats to roll, if you ask the 'client' (xD) if theres any particular stats they want focusing on then they'll say, but usually its just roll all the stats in the easiest order :)

Oh, and people usually like to see examples before they choose you to train for them =)

for a full rolling with doing stats I do about 330k including prepping...I will do 300k for multiple horses and 180k if they are already prepped for 2 stats and 200k for all four stats...
