Barrels Help

wtf is wrong with this horse. :| Her stats look good IMO, and yes, she's young, but she's tanking so hard. Is it just because barrels is really that competative? Or am I doing something wrong? She's tacked and methed, disciplines are at 198-199. Don't tell me her height is the problem, because there are horses that are just as tall if not TALLER with 15M+. *bangs head on desk*

Graaaaaagh.

Probably need to get disciplines to 200, that's where I show mine at. Is she methed so that her trial score for hyper is 660?

Yep, 660 for the trial. Next time there's more events, I'll see if getting her to 200 helps. I just wanted to be able to do cattle work with her and not worry about resetting disciplines.

Barrels are also pretty messed as far as events go right now, lol.

EDIT:

And do cattle work, and when you get to 199 or so, enrage once or twice and carry on. =) just check every two turns or so, and enrage again if need be :)

Look at the scores of the horses that are beatin yours, they range from about 25k to over 100k, that makes a huge difference unfortunately. Your horse's stats look great tho, your gettin beat by scores for the most part. Just my opinion :)

The competition score doesn't matter to the individual events. It just shows how well your horse has done in all it's events so far. And no one - as far as I know - has worked out exactly how the competition score is worked out - other than winning more events gives you a higher score.

Could be. But it does state "Competition Score counts as eventing experience and gives horses an edge in events" and many times my horse may have better stats, and be the same age but with a much lower score and in those cases I have observed my horse to rarely ever place in the mix of high scorers. The same horse will place with horses of comparable scores, but again it's just my observation.

Barrels are extremely erratic right now :/

I had an AppQH with 206 speed and 205 strength around age 10.5 and it sucked. A lot. Once you get your horse past optimum age it should do better though. Here's how mine wound up: http://virtualhorseranch.com/viewhorse. ... se=1049558 though her stats were superior to most (if not all) of the other barrelers she was showing against. I found it highly irking and decided to stop showing her, anticipating events would be looked at in the "huge update" we were waiting for.
