I was going through some tack items in my inventory and notice that some of the tack is on horses that I do not own,,, which I think means that I sold them with tack.
My question is -- can I removed the tack from the horses? The owner has paid for the horse with the tack.
Can the tack be removed if the owner has not been on in years or the horse has gone to Happy Horse Retirement?

If the horse has been retired, sure, go ahead and remove it. Tack is now deleted when removed from a horse, so be aware that the only advantage to removing it is to de-clutter your inventory list. You'll have to make/buy more if you need tack for another horse.
