How are ACDs and Vanners determined?

How are ACDs and Vanners determined?

I thought it was color-based and that Pinto draft foals were Vanners and Palomino ones were ACDs, but today I got a palomino Vanner foal.

They have the same build and their height is only about .2 hands apart. Is there something else that determines this or was the colt just a glitch?

I was always under the impression it was primarily a colour factor, but also took into consideration build and stats.

Given that the parents are Trojans, and they have only recently been changed, it might also be some odd coding that's causing it to go weird :)

Thanks Jelly. I'll try a few more experiments and see if I can get another one like that so I can compare their stats.

I think it has to do with SF

GVH movement (BC) seems to be around 162-164

The ACD is about 160ish
