Overbreeding- How many is good?

Overbreeding- How many is good?

Juuust wondering... :)
How many foals would people recommend to get out of a foundie mare?? (people don't seem to like overbreeding, so wondering what is a good number??)

I usually do about 10 foals max from a foundie mare (age 20), but some people go to 12 or 14 (18 and 19 respectively). I never end up with that many; I just breed as many foals as I need to have a decent filly and a decent colt, and then breed more as I need to.

I usually get 8/10 from my mares now, which leaves me with an option to get a few more later on if I need it for some reason.

agree, usually go with 3-6 MAX out of my mares, pures or impures.
I am no longer able to play the game due to real life commitments. I would like to thank all my friends for the past 11 years on VHR. xx
