Showing Question. Help

Postby Mandee.Green » Wed Jun 29, 2011 2:36 pm

I recently found out that for HoF your horse needs to show very mellow not very hyper *face to palm* so now i dont know how to show with tranqs. After i tranq the horse 3 times do i turn it a day then do physical therapy or what do i do?

The upside of tranqs is that once your horse is very mellow, it stays that way.

Tranqs not only decrease condition, but also energy. So DON'T do it on the last turn. Do it a turn or two before you want to finish. That way when you leave the horse to sit, energy and condition are full (if condition isn't, then bump up with a treat injury deed, or physical therapy)

As I said, it's only something you need to do once, not every time you've finished entering events like you do meth :)

with the exception of a very few fickle breeds that like to slowly get more hyper. lol. Most horses do stay as mellow as possible once you treat them with tranqs the first time.

no, I promise you, they are supposed to be Very Mellow for HoF, that was NOT what I was saying... I was adding to Jelly's post... Jelly said that once you tranq a horse it stays that way and I was reminding that a few breeds (2 WB and 1 Feral that I know of for sure) will slowly start to go back towards hyper even after they have been tranqed, and those few breeds need it done more than just once... TBs and Man O Wars you can just tranq them all the way down (until it says 'your horse is mellow enough') and they will stay that way as long as you don't give them any boosters... Horses in HoF are meant to be very mellow, that part is not a mistake on the trials, it is correct in the trial for the event...
