Driving events

I haven't really tried my hand in driving yet and was looking at the event types. What's the difference between driving:dressage, cones, marathon, etc? Is there a different type of horse that does best in each or is it all just any draft breed?

Driving Marathon:
Optimum Age: 11
Stats:
Strength - 16%
Intelligence - 0%
Speed - 0%
Endurance - 16%

Driving Cones:
Optimum Age: 13
Stats:
Strength - 20%
Intelligence - 1%
Speed - 0%
Endurance - 4%

Driving Dressage
Optimum Age: 13
Stats:
Strength - 16%
Intelligence - 6%
Speed - 0%
Endurance - 4%
*Horse must be mellow.

That's basically it. A horse that does well in marathon can do well in cones and dressage afterwards. Different breeds for different events don'tmake a difference.
