4 Horse Per Event Question

I know you are only allowed to enter 4 horses in an event per player, but I had a question: since I train racers for other people and enter them into events, once they are returned do they still count as my own horses in the event, even though they are back to their original owners? I just wanted to get this clarified before I enter more than 4 horses...

You may not enter more than 4 horses, whether you train and send them back to the original owner or not. Entering more than four horses, then canceling the contracts may even be seen as trying to get around the 4 horse rule. The reason this rule is highlighted at the bottom of event pages is partly for this reason. It's 4 horses per player, not per owner, not per account. Some players thought that as long as they did not have the horse on their account when the event ran, it meant they could enter 8, 10 or 12 horses.

Now I have had people tell me that as long as you do 4 horses in different age brackets that is fine...but this is not true correct?

If by different age brackets you mean events, then yes, you can event more than one horse. No matter the age, you cannot enter more than 4 horses into one event.

you can enter 1 horse in all of the under 9 events, one in all under 10 events and so on... four horses or more than four if you want... the rule applies only to how many horses you enter into the exact same event... the max for any one event is four horses, it's not the max for the event type.
