Mission

Our mission here is simple: Create a top quality selection of pure Fell bloodlines, and try to create popularity for the breed. Read below for more information on our breeding program.

Fell Pony Breeding Program

Deer Stalker Stud was established in March 2014, with the hopes of brining back popularity to the Fell Pony breed. Like with all of our ranches, we strive to bring the best of the breeds out by using only pure, foundation stock. Starting new bloodlines has always been my passion, far above training and competing, so it's always an exciting venture. After the success of Islet Park Stud, where new bloodlines of pure Paint Horses were developed (note: IPS brand prefix), and can now be recognised in the lineage of many great Paint horses on VHR, I became inspired to begin a new venture, focusing on a completely different breed, with much less popularity. Deer Stalker Stud is always on the lookout for new, pure ponies, originating from different lines to our own, so if you have anything suitable please send a message with details.

June 2, 2014: Halter Showmanship

Our ponies are proving themselves in the showring! We now have a full team of four in regional halter showmanship and a team of three (hopefully will bring it up to four soon) in local halter showmanship with all doing extremely well. It's come as quite a surprise as to just how well they're doing, as the project started out as just a bit of fun. A bit shout out to to Zimmy for her guidance when it came to picking their event discipline and actually training many of them.
