Brookstone Stables is my main ac

Brookstone Stables is my main account and has had an interesting history. When it first opened again after the reset, I dedicated myself to improving the Trakehner breed. I worked with several other players on this project but sadly it died out.

After the Trakehners, Brookstone Stables was finally upgraded to a sponsor account in 04 and I focussed once more on improving, not a breed but a training type: endurance racing. I concentrated mainly on the lovely Baluchi's as not many people took them seriously, preferring Arabs. I trained several horses whilst improving my Sports Training skill. But as usual I felt the need for a change and so I took up a project I had started on a novice account: Improving Swedish Warmbloods.

The SWB's (or Swedlets as I affectionately call them) are what made Brookstone Stables and the brand "Lou" known on VHR. Through careful training and selective breeding I managed to create several lines of outstanding SWB's. At the same time as doing this I was raising my English Training as I wanted to train my Swedlets in eventing. Unlike with my other two projects I was fascinated by the SWB breed and would have undoubtedly continued to train and breed them had it not been for the stat adjustments.

Players had been complaining (quite justifiably) that Arabs and Prezwalski's: two of the founding breeds on VHR: where not getting the stats they deserved, whilst the WB's were flourishing. So Nefertete 'nerfed' the Arabs and several other breeds stats up and the WB's down. After this had occurred I bred 1 foal to see how much the adjustments would affect the quality of my foals. Needless to say I was appalled at the foal I got from one of my best mares and decided there and then that I would breed no more SWB's due to the poor quality of the foals in comparison to their parents.

Well that's all for now. Thanks for listening and good luck on VHR. Nienna.

So for a while I did Standardbreds and managed to get the first quad Extras on the game (with help from Tyler). However after a time I found these to be too easy once I had a good solid selection of stock. Nearly every foal I bred went quad. So needing a challenge I went onto several random breeds to try and improve them. During this period I bred and trained the two best Persian Arabian studs (almost quad extras), some brilliant Tersk mares and stallions, the best statted Deliboz on the game (at the time) and the first quad Hackney mare and stallion. But as usual I soon again grew tired of not having a specific breed and instead formed a partnership to work on Norwegian Fjords with Rev. I purchased two foundation pairs and several Fjord colours. But as with many things in the past on vhr, the partnership didn’t work due to school commitments and such and never having the time to speak to each other. So I continued with the Fjord breed and made a Fjord polo team as was the original plan. To date they have won over 80 million dollars in VHR playcash.

Admist this Lou was promoted to an Op and later a game master although I had to quit due to time constraints in my last year of college. Oh well. Now I have a new partner , Razzy or PP_Gurl and together we are breeding pure-blooded Fjords from foundation to quad and so far we are onto our first generation. Let me tell you, training ten foundation fjords is not a fun task. I also have a couple of new polo teams in the making and with the introduction of 4 events per turn this should make things much easier. With the addition of Night Horses I have a nice side project going as well.

Still you think that this would be enough for me. But oh no. I noticed when trying to breed my new polo teams that there just aren’t that many bloodlines in SWBs that I hadn’t already used and since I didn’t want both my new team to be very closely related, I had a dilemma. To this end I embarked on a new project: the SWB equivalent to my Pure Fjords. Thus far like with my Fjords I have ten foundation SWBs which I shall dye in Leopard Gecko morphs: another of my hobbies. Along side this was another ambition to have 2 stallions of every breed and put them up for stud: one ranch for bc or almost bc foals to be trained and studded at 100K and another ranch for foals that are a few stats off bc to be trained and put up for 50K. Never say I’m not ambitious!
