Welcome to Icarus Acres, the Sport horse division of Willow Ranch. This is the home of out top lines Thoroughbreds, as well as several other public and private sport breeds and lines.
Here at Icarus Acres we strive to breed, train and event top sport horses in events such as Track, Steeple, Foxhunting, Cross Country, Show Jumping, 3 Day Eventing and Hunter Over Fences.
Our Goals
Here at Icarus we always strive to breed and event the best of the best. We have several different lines of Thoroughbreds, including pure, in-stable and public lines. We are also slowly buidling several other pure and public sport horse lines. When you look through out TB lines you will find many familiar names, and we are always looking for good breeding trades for lines we do not yet have.
Our Champions
Throughout the years, we have bred, trained and evented some very special sport horses. Below are some of our outstanding champions.
(WR) Sunday Storm
Thoroughbred mare, 150 million + in winnings, evented in Track/Steeple/Foxhunting/HoF.
Sunday was one of our first major winners, and she is top lined as well. Only five of her foals have been let out from our stable, and she is not available to the public.
Her foals continue her legacy to this day.
|WR| Abyss [Ψ]
Thoroughbred mare, Psi-lines.
Abyss is a daughter of CCA Citation himself, one of the best TBs on VHR! To own a foal from him was always our dream! She is part of the Psi-lines, meaning in-stable only, including all future offspring.
|WR| Memento Mori
Thoroughbred mare, top lines, 47+ million in winnings.
Mori is the daughter of wwr. Prelude, a well-known name in TB circles. She has done well eventing in the new system, and our hope is to reach 50 million before retirement.
WĦR Ya Bint al Hawa .☥.
Straight Egyptian Arabian mare, Gold Medalist in the 2011 Olympics with a 92.7% WPS!
She has never breen bred, nor evented outside the Olympics, but she stands as one of my top horses to this day.
WĦR Una Salus Victus {SPACE} .ia.
Thoroughred stallion, pure, SPACE-lined.
Una was part of my Outer Space trainoff years ago, and has won a little over 80 million in his career.
Our Brands
We have several different brands on our horses. You will find some older horses still carry the (WR) brand, which has since been replaced with |WR|.
Our pure horses all carry the WĦR brand, and the Arabians use the WµR brand. These will always stand in front of the name.
The Icarus Acres stable brand is .ia. This is located after the horses' name, and any line brands will be after the name but before the stable brand. An exaple here are the Route of Ages Thoroughbreds, who are named as such: WĦR Una Salus Victus {SPACE} .ia.
Training & Eventing
At this time I do not offer training or eventing to the public. I do sell event trained foals, and any horses available can be found at the forum in this thread.
Eventing is offerent on a case by case basis. I do not usually take on other people's horses to event, but it does happen sometimes.
