News:
My messages are not working properly, it seems. If you need to contact me, please either
email me or IM me (ThroughTheFloo; just let me know you're from VHR). Or, you could PM me through the VHR forums - my username is Jaye. Otherwise, it's hit or miss whether I'll get your messages or you'll get my replies.

7/13: Livewire's Stud Division is now officially open for business. Clerical Errors is a Few-Spot Leopard foundation Appaloosa. He'll be turned every few days until he's past breeding age, and then he'll remain here to event until he officially retires.

About:
Hi, and welcome to Livewire Farms! :) I breed, raise, train, & show primarily Appaloosas and Walkaloosas, with the possibility for a Pony of the Americas or two on the side. In the future, a draft horse breeding program may be added in an offshoot ranch.

Programs:
Right now, my main focus is Walkaloosas. I originally planned to just have one or two, but while I was looking for some to buy, I noticed that I didn't see so many with stats that were much above Good or Very Good, and I saw even fewer with interesting colors. So I decided that my personal project would be to try to train and breed Walkaloosas with decent stats AND nice colors. Woo! To kick start me is the best Walkaloosa filly I could find on the market: LF Hocus Pocus. Unnamed when I bought her, Hocus is Leopard in color and has three Very Goods and a Fantastic, all of which I'm hoping to roll before I breed her. You might notice an AraApp or a TWH, Paso Fino, Peruvian Paso, or other gaited breed around Livewire. That's because AraApps seem to have a lot of the more interesting colors, and crossing an AraApp back with a Walkaloosa will produce a Walkaloosa, so that provides a way to introduce fun colors into the breed. :)

Vet Work:
Since I'm working on my vet skills, I can now give tranqs and vaccines to horses (no meths or deeds yet, though). I'd love to do this for other people, but it would require my taking the horse into Livewire to tranq or vaccinate it, since my skill percentage isn't high enough to make deeds yet. If you want a horse tranq'ed or vaccinated, message me with a link to the horse. I'll bid $0 on it, and you'll immediately place a return bid on it for the price of the service. I'll give it its meds and accept the return bid, sending the horse back to you. Vaccines will be $375 and tranqs will be $400. Bear in mind that a.) that's the cost of the medication I'll need to buy, plus a small markup for me, and b.) it's a LOT cheaper than deeds are on the market right now. :) If you'd like to take advantage of these services, see the contact info above...my messages are screwy.

Layouts:
I did my own layout, and would love to do them for others. So you can get an idea of what I do and how much I charge, I've put together a little offsite
gallery page for you to look at. This page also explains the "ordering" instructions for layouts. Following these will ensure that your layout request gets to me and that we have good communication. I don't chat regularly with messages, so I have no way of knowing if they're working correctly, but recent conversations with another player leads me to think they aren't. Feel free to email me or IM me (ThroughTheFloo; just let me know you're from VHR) if you'd be interested in having a layout done - my messages aren't working.

About Me:
I'm 20, a rising junior in college, and I'm a psychology major. I ride English, mostly in the summers, and mostly on a draft cross gelding named Major. I'm currently researching options for buying a horse after I graduate college, preferably...you guessed it!...an Appaloosa. :)

The horse in the header is an Appaloosa mare named Shoshone, and the photo was retrieved from the portion of equusite.com okayed for nonprofit use.
