I have had many near death experiences with horses luckily they were not with my horses. Most importantly I love horses. Then I bought Reggie and we have been very Successful at AQHA Shows in my first year on him I got 55 points! Reggie is a head strong pure Quarter Horse! I am sorry to tell you I have learned of something even worse than horse slaughter. It's called horse fighting. They put a mare that is in heat in the center of the ring, tied up. Then they take two stallions and put them in the ring. They fight to breed with the mare. If there is a weakling or a horse too old to fight they put them in the ring with a much stronger stallion. The crowd cheers with the more blood. It is also very horrible for the mare. She gets hit by side shots from the stallions and the victorious stallion is allowed to breed with her. That means she gets mounted up to 30 times in 6 six hours. the injured horses are slaughtered, barbequed, and sold to the audience. It takes place in the Philippines and parts of China. The FDA is trying to stop it. In any way, please help end this horrible abuse.
