Gymkhana/Gym Events?

What are Gym events, and how are Gymkhana events not based on anything? How do you know if your horse will compete well? Thanks!

Any horse can compete in it so stats, type, mood, age, etc. do not matter in it but placing is random so there's no way to do well in it. It's just a nice way of making a little bit of extra cash and it's a good way to put horses you can't really compete to good use. I personally like putting foundies in it
