I'd breed back to their father, but I have no qualms about inbreeding. They're pretty close, from here on, it's gonna be a lot of luck.

Well, for random breeding, you've got pretty close on these. Getting under 30 is probably the most frustrating when it comes time to breeding. The first cow is really good on personality, but the second cow is actually better because she's only off in personality.

One thing I always do is to keep at least one stud, usually 2 or 3, so I have a choice of trying to match them up when my mares also start getting below 30 scores. I'd say keep breeding until you have at least one stud and kinda start over.

I've never worked with cows in conformation, but if you want, I'll lend you the one cow stud I have. He's a 49 score, high in stamina and speed. But you can just keep him in pasture unless you need to turn him until you get a stud or two of your own. Message me at 317295 if you want to borrow him.

He's better than my stud. Don't expect the best confy from the first, or even 10th breeding. There's still the variance when breeding.

Is confy one of those things you love to hate?
Its how im feelin right now

Bred me some 128 mares and a 129 stud:

Stud:
halter : conformation
# Breed Standards : not as Intellegent (+ 0.4832 )
# Breed Standards : not Showing Strength of breed (+ 0.7368 )
# Breed Standards : Showing More Stamina than of breed (+ 1.2154 )
# Breed Standards : Showing More Speed than of breed (+ 1.7531 )
# Breed Standards : Not Showing Personalityof breed (+ 0.7624 )
# Breed Standards : Showing smaller Build of breed (+ 0.00090000000000146 )
Breed Similarity Penalty score: 29.9518

Mare:
halter : conformation
# Breed Standards : too intelligent (+ 0.4847 )
# Breed Standards : Showing More Strength than of breed (+ 0.38079999999999 )
# Breed Standards : not Showing Stamina of breed (+ 0.0075999999999965 )
# Breed Standards : Showing More Speed than of breed (+ 0.6347 )
# Breed Standards : Not Showing Personalityof breed (+ 2.3596 )
# Breed Standards : Showing smaller Build of breed (+ 0.0026999999999973 )
Breed Similarity Penalty score: 28.8701

I would have thought they would give me at least foals with score 128-130 but no im getting 135+ :thud:

Is it something wrong or are they just being a pain :viking:

That sounds about right. You mare and stud are pretty good, so the chance of getting better than them is going to take some luck. And yes, it's something you love to hate. It's not easy and when you get to the point you're at, it's more luck than science.

I started a confy project a while back and I couldn't get scores lower than 28. I soon became so frustrated after working hours and not getting anywhere that I gave up and all my confy Clydes are just sitting there :(
