Moving a goodie dye

Is there anyway a goodie dye can be transferred from one horse to another? I wanted to check here before I weigh down the Op's with another support ticket on the Orbis Worlds site.

In most cases, dyes won't be moved over just because the person wants it on a different horse.

Could you not breed the horse with the colour, so the foal gets it, then dye the sire/dam ?
