Regarding horse pictures

I would like to use pictures of my real life horse as the images for my personal breed, which are named & designed after him. Would this be acceptable? Do I need to somehow prove that I have the rights to use these pictures (like take a picture of me with him holding a sign that's like, INDIE VHR YAAAAAAY?) I am not sure how much you guys crack down on copyrighted images for people who use pictures without permission - but I'd only be using pictures that I took & therefore have the rights to use them this way.

I have pictures of me (that my friends took for me)/pics that I took as both my logo for my farms as and as my banner...I've had one person ask me about them, and I just said that. Haven't had any problems with it...although I did have the same concern (how do you prove a negative?). I figured that if anyone wanted proof, I could link (a moderator!) to my facebook page with all of the pics of me (can match face) and the pics posted as originials. Or I could e-mail them to full files, which proves that I have the full-size files, which you don't generally get off of the internet. That's my thinking, at least!
