Traced Lineart

Postby holalissy » Wed Apr 16, 2008 7:49 am

Hello there...

I have a question about traced lineart from pic. I just started to do some lineart... and for me it is much easier (at least in the begining) to work by tracing a real horse (pic) ..

Now here is my question.. is it ok if I sell these lineart or not.. and how about the copyright???
It would be great if you could let me know.. thanx

Sell, not sale.

And I think that you may need permission from the owner of the pic that you're tracing to use it.
45mil still needed...

And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Ah, well, if the photos are copyright free I think that you should be okay to use them.

You're safe using references from morguefile.com and flickr.com, etc.

When you go to sell the linearts though, be sure to let people know they are traced, because someone will create a scene if your pictures are misrepresented ;)

Good luck!
