Events filling early

Postby Alabama » Sat Mar 12, 2011 3:59 pm

Alright all, I had planned on events that filled quickly being run early and a new set put up immediately to help maybe move things along more quickly. However, it seems I have forgotten to put to written form what I was thinking.

So I'm going to ask you if that would alright or if you would rather stick with the schedule. I know there are lots of events with many people entered into more than one, meaning they might feel rushed enough. Those events that would be set up early would still be up until they fill or they reach -6.

What would be your preferences?

I think we should do what ever helps things move along in a quick manner, I think the posted schedule works as a general guideline, however I do not see anything wrong with adjusting dates & what not as needed/as it can be done.

I for one would like to see the results & find out who the winners are ASAP so anything that helps get us to that point faster is fine by me :)

I'm alright with events moving along faster, as long as everyone is entered. :)

I would prefer if nothing starts its first round of events earlier than originally scheduled. Just because I've made myself a schedule to help me get everything trained by the time eventing starts for that event. With all my school work, the way all my events' start dates are spread out now, is very ideal.
I have no problem though, if events fill really quickly and subsequent heats and rounds are posted earlier than originally planned, so long as all the appropriate schedules get updated so that we are informed of the new dates ;)

edit;; although I suppose, with some of the events that aren't slated to begin until late April/early May -- If you wanted to move the first round start date, so long as we could be informed of those being moved earlier, with like 2-3 weeks notice or so, that would be okay. As long as there is plenty of warning, I guess it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

I don't mind things moving along quicker. I would even prefer it, I'm so excited to see the results that the wait is almost unbearable.

Don't mind at all, just as long as I know when new events are put up.

I don't have any problem with running events earlier, but I wouldn't keep up with setting them up before the date that is already organised.
