Well, no one seems to be remembering that the USA is a big place, and prices differ between different states (I know this and I dont even live there

). I had a look on the same website at the prices of welsh ponies in Maine, there werent many. This pony and 2 others seems to be the only ones, and one of the other two ads I am not sure is even legit. However the other one was for a trained hunter pony and was for sale at 10k. The surrounding states had horses that were quite expensive, a few werent, but I didnt look at any details. Perhaps in Maine welsh ponies arent as common so have a higher market value? I dont think welsh ponies in general are that popular in America anyway, they are more popular in Britain where they come from. Perhaps this is a reason for difference in price? I dont know.
You could however be a bit more polite in your responses Detox. I know you are getting frustrated at having to keep explaining everything, but getting sarcastic and snappy isnt going to help you in any way, believe me.
As for the ad and size of the pony, I dunno how tall he is exactly, but his build reminds me of a Welsh section B which dont go past 13.2hh. He doesnt really look thick boned enough to be a section C and thats when they start going up to 14.2hh. Maybe its the pictures. He is 7 as well, usually horses are trained in something by that point, even just basic training, but he was rescued I suppose so dunno what happened in his past. I dont see the problem in trying to trade for a green-broke pony or horse, but its probably not gonna happen anyway, I mean why would you trade something better for something less? Doesnt make a lot of sense to me, but maybe someone will want to. By something less as well, I mean your pony isnt trained and the trading horse is.
Edit: On the height thing, I just went to check on that and saw the USA has its own seperate height limit for Welsh section B's.

13.2hh is maximum for section B's in Britain, but its 14.2hh for America so I guess it could be right. No idea why America has a different height limit for B's alone though.
