Naming problems

I have a couple of horses (including a sea horse stallion at 1.1yr) that I haven't been able to name. When I click name it just takes me back to the stables page and the horse is still unamed.

I can name the horses that I've bred, but it seems like the ones that I bought can't be named? ? I'm not sure if it's a bug or just the horses' age. It's hard to assign tasks to horses when you have several unnamed. How do I know which is which?

You want to make sure you aren't putting any apostrophe's in the name, that's one of the reasons it'll kick you back to the stable page without naming the horse.
