naming horses

Would there be a reason I cannot name one of my foals? I have been trying since last night. when I hit enter it brings me back to my horses and the colt is still unamed.

- Sign out, log back in, and go look at the horse through you 'public view' under the name you've given it-- I've had horses whose names did not show up through the stable/pasture pages until after I did this. Don't know why, but it happened to me more than once.

- make sure you aren't including apostrophes in the horse's name. If you're trying to name a horse something like Wunderkind's Express it won't work.

- are you absolutely positive you have not used the name before? If so, it can dump you back to the horse page and leave the animal unnamed.

If you really want an apostrophe like symbol you can use ` instead
