Well, I usually go through trial events, look what type of horse gets the biggest bonues (sport, stock, etc). Then look at what stats are most important for those events it gets the bonus in and see which one my horse most closely matches. So, if intel is the most important and speed second and those are my horses highest stats as well, then that's probably going to be the easiest and maybe best event to train my horse for. Now, that doesn't mean it'll do good in it, just that that's what my horse's stats already set up to train for.

I then look at the winners in completed events to see where their stats are so I know what to shoot for.

Hope that helps some.

Do you mean a Centaur? Centaurs don't fit into one of the normal breed types so they don't do very well eventing because they don't get the bonus. Different breed types do well in different events. For example, Warmbloods get the big bonus for Dressage and Show horses get the small bonus. This means that Warmbloods do best, show horses second best, and all the rest come after that.

The next thing to look at is stats. The higher the stats, the easier it is to train a horse for a certain event. Dressage horses need high intelligence and strength, Barrel racers need speed and strength and Bronco's just need Strength. If you have a look through here it might help you:
