Diets not changing horse mood?

I was playing around with diets and I tried a hyper diet: 20/15/50/15 which made my horses very hyper. Then I tried to make them mellow with 45/5/45/5 and 40 turns later they are still very hyper. Then I changed it to 50/10/40/0 and 30 turns later they are still hyper. I then tried a normal diet 35/15/35/15 for 20 turns and no change - still very hyper. What am I doing wrong?

Also - how much does diet influence training? I haven't seen a big difference in training when I went from very mellow to very hyper.

I think most people use tranqs to bring the mood down and then the diet to maintain it.

Every breed has a different mood standard. That is the say that GWBs are easy to get mellow and stay that way, whereas Swed WBs require tranqs to get them mellow.
