Eventing Novice:

Postby Mandee.Green » Sun Jan 29, 2012 3:57 pm

I recently came back to the game and I totally forget how to event. I am going to be showing in Dressage, Show Jumping and HOF and Eventing. I also want to know is it possible to event as a novice and have winning horses? Thank you :)

You can find guides (Possibly eventing guides) from the forums, or other eventers in your preferred discipline(s).

It is possible to event as a novice, however with breed training bonuses, where horses get 0.2 gain to a random bonus eac time you train, sponsors may still have an edge.

It is possible to have that bonus Keek mentions above.

I suggest having a read over my post here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=87643 It covers tweaking, eventing and bonuses from the point of eventing as a novice.

You cannot train a horse from scratch for an event. But it is possible to event on a novice account :)

Given you want to cover a variety of events, I suggest you specialise in 1-2 breed types, and base your bonuses on those. As a novice you can only pick 5 remember.

Go read the post, it covers most facts xD Any other questions poke back here and ask away :P

Oh yeah.
My apologies. I keep thinking about JoaT novices, and novices pre-bonuses :P

Even pre-bonuses it was possible to event as a novice :P

Either that, or I got damn lucky with the horses I was eventing, seeing as eventing was how I earned 100M to get my first upgrade :P
