Auction Issues

I've never sold at auction before.

My horse had received a bid so I clicked 'ship to new owner'
then it came up saying purchaser doesn't have enough money returned to owner.

So I still have it. Is this really common?

If someone bids on the horse and then forgets and spends the money on something else, it happens.
