I don't know how to deal with...

The new event updates...

Before you had age restricted events but now you have competition score based events and I don't know how to event with them and get results because you could have a 6 y.o horse with awesome stats for it's age in a certain score range and a horse that is 10 in the same score range with stats that will blow your horse out of the water.

Help?

If your horse is young and not experienced, it's going to get beat by an older, better trained horse. That's the way it's supposed to be. Eventually, those older horses will be too old to compete effectively against you. Once your horse gets experienced and better trained as it ages, it too will start beating the younger horses.

So then horses that are in the same score group (say provincial) well compete the same basically because they have the same experience? Or well all the younger horses just get their booty kicked till they get old enough?

Once the horses that were previously evented move on up and out of eventing, horses should be more or less the same age beyond the first level or two if they are trained well.
