Super Studs Bonus?

I've been breeding my line of Ethereals, and within 20 first gens- I've gotten THREE fillies.
The Super Studs bonus says its increases the chance to produce studs...but by that much?
Genetic Genous is the only bonus i have under the "super studs" category.
Are my breedings because of the bonus, or are my mares just against me?

I had 6 colts and 1 filly, and then 7 fillys and 1 colt .. so meh, its quite random 
I am no longer able to play the game due to real life commitments. I would like to thank all my friends for the past 11 years on VHR. xx

Okay... I'm crossing my fingers for no more colts... haha
I didn't think the bonus would effect it THAT much, but I didn't know.

I used the bonus once and then removed it because there were too many colts.

If I take away Super Studs, do I also lose the other bonuses under the category?
