What Does "Your Studs" Mean in Levels?

Postby Kay Brookes » Sat Nov 15, 2008 8:28 pm

I just wanted to double check to be on the safe side: some of the stud skills you can now buy say "your studs" while others don't. Does this mean that you only receive the bonuses if the foals are born in the stable with that skill, or if the foal is born anywhere so long as the father is in an account with the skill?

Hmm.... I think that as long as a horse is born on a ranch with those bonuses, it should work...

But don't quote me on that.

That makes sense. I'm hoping that it only applies to the stallion - not to the account. That way you can have a stud account separate from your breeding account. And so it's worth having those skills for other people to be interested in your studs.

I think It applies to the account so that any stud that you have (born at your ranch or not) gets it. But I havn't checked it out yet so I could be wrong.

If looks like it only happens for the account that has the skills and the stallion. That suddenly made it easier for me to decide what skills to get and what to dump. Now I'll just need to remove some of the ones I've bought and put my 24+ aged stallions in retirement.

Ah well.
