Freezing Semen

What does it exactly mean to freeze semen of a stud? And I think I have heard the term "straws of semen" or something? What does that mean? I have never really understood it =]

It's like saving a breeding to the stallion. If you collect semen from your horse, it's like collecting a breeding you can use at a later date. One straw of semen is 1 breeding to the stud. That way you can control who breeds to your stud and you can sell breedings without putting him for public stud.

They are also useful in improving your foals because you can roll the stallion's stats until he is 33 and still collect vials (or straws) to breed to the stud even though he is too old to breed.
