I was thinking of buying this horse:

Would it excel in anything if I got it well trained?

Another questing:
What makes this horse:

so much better then this horse:
http://virtualhorseranch.com/viewhorse. ... se=1504895 ?
The first one always paces first or second, and the second one places somewhere around thirteen. Why is this?

Draft horses (the first one) do well in Driving and Jousting events. Jousting would probably be best since she has high strength and speed.

The two dressage horses you linked, the first one is at optimum age, so it's more likely to place well. The second one is 14 years old, which is a whole year past optimum age.

When you're eventing your horse, the age bonus gets bigger with every turn, until your horse hits optimum age (13 for dressage). Every turn after optimum age, your horse's age bonus gets smaller, so they gradually start placing worse after they hit optimum age.

It's helpful to put horses that are above or below optimum age into age restricted events.
