How effective is 'righteous riders'?

I haven't gotten anything clear on this topic and if I could get rid of it without it damaging the performance of my horses.

So, does anyone know how effective it is?

As far as I can tell that's talking about the difference between using NPC riders and yourself when using righteous riders skill. I'm asking if it's worth having it at all... looking to see if I can get rid of it or not. :)

This is all I can tell ya.

I was leveling a novice ranch with gymkhana. As soon as I got cool comp I switched to dressage because there are TONS of events. The horses placed at best near the middle, at worst the bottom. Second skill I added was righteous riders. The horses then mostly placed in the middle, with a fair amount of money placings and occasional bombings. After that I added various frills and they are doing fairly well now.

Not quite as good as a sponsor account but I do think the rider skill is beneficial. You would have to test it without and then with, but you already have it right? The only other example I have is a novice I am helping did not have that skill and her track racers were placing 9+ so she added it last night and today, I noticed one of her horses had placed second.

Hmm, okay. Yeah, I already have it and the fees for switching are piling up pretty quick so I can't test it out exactly. Your experience does sound like a pretty compelling reason for me to keep it.

Always there Swar. =P Thank you :)

Lol tell me about it. I think I might have one more skill switch in me be I am reluctant to cough up 10+ mil for it so I may be done. I'll get back to this thread if that horse placing second was just a fluke. But I suspect it's the skill. Your welcome Rev

my bad :)

Righteous riders was one of the first ones I got. I then added on all the extras. I've been doing pretty well eventing thus far. I definitely think righteous riders helps. Any of the bonus that give you a score addition every time [as opposed the random ones] is good to have [keeping in mind which skills count most for the event you are eventing in, of course]. Since riders are important in all events, it's a great all around bonus to have, IMO ;)

I am still unclear though on whether righteous riders give you a score boost when you use yourself as the rider or only when you use an NPC...
