This mare just changed her intel from amazing to pheno. What I would like to do is get her strength to change as fast as it can to fantastic. Rolling seems to be beyond me, unless it happens by accident. I know that two stats aren't maxed so how much does that affect strength? The diet is 45-5-45-5. This is a Horse of Hades.
Rolling just seems to be one of those blocks that my head can't wrap itself around. How much does diet play in rolling? Seems different people use different diets. Also, this horse is not shod.
Thanks for any help. :?

Diet affects rolling by dropping the actual stat on either str (diet under 100) or endy (diet over 100). The only two stats that will roll are the highest and lowest actual, the number in parenthesis. Lowest stat will roll twice as fast as highest.

So the use of diet is to change actuals. If you want strength to roll the fastest, it needs to be the lowest stat, so you can change diet to something over 100 until strength drops to lowest, then change back to the 100 diet. It's easier to roll more stats when actuals are close together, this is why I like my stats all around 200.5.

In your case, the two stats not maxed affect strength in that they are lower, much lower in endy's case. Endy will be rolling fastest and intel slowest as it is right now. Endy's actual is 179 and intel's is 200.41. So to get str to roll fastest, you need to get it below endy and speed, I would suggest raising those two, but if you want strength to roll, you can train in driving until it's highers than Intel, higher that 200.41. But it will roll more slowly than Endy since endy will still be the lowest stat.

Hope that helps. If you need more help, let me know.
