What are offline points?

ive just become a sponsor.
and ive just noticed the offline points bonus thing.
ive worked out how to apply them to increase your breeding skills etc
but i was wondering what they are actually and how do you get them etc?
if someone could explain them to me that would be great thanks

Offline points are simple

You earn 1 point for every hour you are not logged into the account

They can be used for raising skills and for training, however training using offline points ages the horse too much and is not used these days.
