Racing bonus question

Would sporty sorts really be needed for racing, since intell isn't needed?

It is not technically needed for racing but is advantageous to have. I have sporty sorts but cannot fit stocky steeds in for my sprinters.

What happens eventually to them, is they do great at first, but then as the other horses stats gradually surpass theirs, they start to slip. After sprinting for 3-4 years they have roughly a 2 point stat disadvantage going into barrels. Track racers will get hit hard by that as well, by the time they get to steeple, or FH.

I still get by without it for the sprinters. It just shortens their careers. If your looking for a long term, high earning cross discipline horse though, you will need it.
