Breeding and Rolling

This got me so frustrated I was about ready to give up rolling my horses to an inch of their life (slash breeding career).

I'm been working with Finnish Horses, training/breeding/rolling, lately, and have been focusing on strength and speed. From all my foals, the highest speed stat I've gotten is a 109.25, this mare is an example http://www.virtualhorseranch.com/viewho ... se=1583800 Both parents are rolled to Inco speed. Great, right? I should have to do that with all my horses to get 109s.

Nope. I was breeding some fresh Finnish blood by crossing a DWB with a Groningen and got this: http://www.virtualhorseranch.com/viewho ... se=1583859 A 109.25...but look at the speed on her parents. Only Extraordinary. ARG! Am I the only one this happens to..and does rolling even make a difference? (okay, I'm sure it does..but this case confuses me).

Rolling doesn't seem to make that much difference to speed and endurance on most breeds, but for strength and intel, it's really important.

I never roll speed or endy on my foundies, and they always come out at bc in the foals.
