Sharing accounts and Orbis Games... a Warning

Postby Hawk » Wed Dec 03, 2008 3:48 pm

Since so many are posting to lease or let players free lease Sponsor accounts, I feel it needed to post this warning. Orbis Games will not be held responsible for anything that happens to your account. This includes the account being "stolen", horses being sold, money being removed. It is your choice to give out the log info and it is your responsibility. Orbis Worlds will not reimburse or return any property lost or "stolen" on shared accounts.

Due to the recent outbreak of players wanting to level other peoples accounts for them, I felt it was needed to remind players of the do NOT give your log info to other players rules and consequences:

The first and three easy rules to never loose your account are as follows:
1. NEVER give out your log in information, not in any case should someone need to access your account. If you give out your password, orbis games holds no responsibility.

Account Security Policy
Upon registration, you must select a password and an username.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Information and are responsible for any harm, lost or deleted content, etc. resulting from your disclosure, or allowing the disclosure of any password or username from use by any person of your information to gain access to your Account. IF YOU GIVE SOMEONE YOUR INFORMATION, ORBIS GAMES IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR ACCOUNT, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS OR DISCONTENT CAUSED BY YOUR GIVING OUT YOUR LOG IN INFORMATION. On certain circumstances we may discipline other players whom 'scam', lie about their position, to obtain your information. By disciplining we may ban or suspend the accounts or block access to the user whom lied to retrieve this information. However, Orbis Games is not obligated to recover any harm done to your account by result in you giving out your information, username and password.
IN NO CASE WILL AN ORBIS GAMES REPRESENTATIVE, VOLUNTEER, OR EMPLOYEE ASK YOU FOR YOUR PASSWORD.
